Each item has an estimated custom production time as shown on the item page, and then it ships. We will provide you with tracking numbers to track your packages with the carriers so that you can watch the progress of your delivery. (Please be advised that we can not be responsible for shipments once they have left our studio. You must contact the carrier with the tracking number that we provide to track your package.) We will often "Split Ship" our orders, to get the products that are completed first right out and on their way to you. THIS MEANS THAT YOU MAY RECEIVE MORE THAN ONE PACKAGE FOR YOUR ORDER. PLEASE NOTE THE CUSTOM CREATION TIMES IT TAKES FOR US TO MAKE EACH ITEM. All of our products are handcrafted just for you upon order...and take extra time. Creation times are noted on each item page.
SOME INFORMATION ON OUR DELIVERIES:
1) Each product page on our website shows an "Availability Time". This is the average time that it takes us to custom create that item for you. Occasionally materials become out of stock or we are waiting on a shipment to arrive and can take slightly longer. We try our best not to let this happen, but occasionally it can occur.
2) During peak gift ordering times such as Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, End Of The School Year, Back To School and Graduation some production times may take a touch longer. We make the majority of our products when you order them, so they are created especially for you. Please allow some extra time during these peak periods.
3) The graphic design process is started on your order within 24 hours of it being placed. Therefore, we can only cancel an order within 24 hours of order placement. If cancelation must take place after that, a graphic design fee may still apply.
4) Please note that some of our products will arrive at different times and in different shipments. If you have not received all of your order within 3 weeks, please let us know and we would be happy to track your packages for you.
Monogram Ettiquette & Monogram Guidelines
When you want to give a truly memorable gift that will become a cherished keepsake, we think there is no better choice than a personalized gift. We believe that monogramming makes everything more meaningful. Here is the standard Emily Post Monogramming Etiquette that we normally follow -
Individual Monogram Etiquette - The most common rule is first name initial, last name initial and middle name initial, in that order. So Elizabeth Mary Sullivan's monogram would look as follows: ESM
Married Monogram Etiquette (2 Choices)
Modern Monogram Etiquette: The most common rule is the Woman's First Name, the couples Married Last Name, Husband's First Name. So Elizabeth Sullivan married to James O'Neill the monogram would look as follows:

Traditional Monogram Etiquette: The most common rule to follow is Woman's First Name, Married Last Name, Woman's Maiden Name. So Elizabeth Mary Sullivan married to James David O'Neill's monogram would look as follows:

Mens Monogram Etiquette Or All Same Height Block Font Etiquette: When monogramming something for a man or in our Block or Modern Font with ALL OF THE LETTERS THE SAME HEIGHT, the traditional monogram layout is "First, Middle, LAST. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU CHOOSE THIS STYLE OF MONOGRAM WE WILL ADJUST YOUR MONOGRAM TO BE IN THE PROPER ORDER OF "First, Middle, LAST" so that it appears in this proper manner for you. For example, James David O'Neill's monogram would be entered as "jOd" on your order form, but we will adjust it as follows: JDO
It is also correct to put a gentleman's surname initial larger in the middle. For James David O'Neill the monogram is also acceptable as follows: JOD
SPECIAL NOTES ON THE ROUND (CIRCLE) MONOGRAM: PLEASE NOTE: THIS FONT CAN LOOK SLIGHTLY "CUT OFF" OR "SQUARED OFF" IF YOU HAVE A "J", "L" or "O" AS THE FIRST OR MIDDLE INITIAL, and a "D" in the left side position will come out backwards to keep the integrity of the circle. (PLEASE click on "Monogram Font Choices" in the left margin to see all letters before ordering this font).
RETURN POLICY
Since we are a custom monogramming store, we create your orders upon special request, and can not accept returns on custom made or personalized items. We create each order based on your specific name or monogram, and therefore we can not resell it if returned. If there is a spelling error, product problem or a defect in the product, we would be happy to work quickly to remake the product exactly as you originally ordered, as we always want you to be thrilled with your Girly-Twirly Gift Company purchase. We reserve the right to replace or repair your item or issue a refund if a problem arises. If you have any special requests, please feel free to email us before placing your order, as we would be happy to try to accomodate you if at all possible. (Please note that custom requests are non-returnable, as they are also custom created just for you by your special request.)
ALL RETURNS REQUIRE A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. To obtain a return authorization number (RA#), please email us at GirlyTwirlyGifts@aol.com with your request. Only returns arriving with this return authorization number will be accepted in our shipping department from the US Postal Service or UPS. We can only accept returns for unused, new product within 30 days of purchase. AFTER 30 DAYS, RETURNS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A STORE CREDIT ONLY. Please also note that return shipping charges are non refundable.
BILLING POLICY
Your credit card will be processed before any personalization production starts. Once the item is personalized for you, if the charge does not go through the item would have to be thrown away. By processing your card before the personalization process begins it assures that we can confidently begin your custom personalization and shipment.
WE ARE GREEN!
Here at the Girly-Twirly Gift Company, we try to always remain conscious of our environment. This means that we try to "recycle" and reuse as many shipping boxes as we can, to cut down on the number of trees harmed to create shipping boxes. On all gift shipments, we will always ship in a new box...but for direct orders, you may receive your order in a box that was previously "loved!"
Ordering the Perfect Size:
At the Girly-Twirly Gift Company, we understand that it is difficult to purchase jewelry in the perfect size for other people. This is why we offer ONE FREE RESIZING ON EVERY PIECE OF JEWELRY WE SELL. This way, if your estimate is slightly off, your gift recepient can have her piece adjusted at no charge. It makes gift giving easy!! PLEASE NOTE: WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE A BEAD STYLE IF NECESSARY DUE TO MARKET AVAILABILITY.
Some Simple BRACELET Sizing Guidelines To Follow:
If you can measure the person before ordering, a good "rule of thumb" to go by is to measure around the largest part of the wrist, including the wristbone, and then add 1/2". This is typically the perfect fit for "on the wrist" wear. If you are ordering one of our chunkier "Lampwork" style bracelets like our Snapdragon, Lily, Violet or Nantucket bracelets, please add 1/2" more to your size, as these bracelets tend to run smaller with those bigger beads.
Ages Newborn - 1 Years - This age typically wears a 4" to 4 1/2" length bracelet. It is important to fit this age fairly snugly so that they cannot roll the bracelet off or choke on it. PLEASE SUPERVISE CHILDREN WEARING JEWELRY AT ALL TIMES!
Age 2-4 Years - This age group usually wears a 5" to 5 1/2" length bracelet. If you are purchasing one of our chunkier "Lampwork" styles like our Snapdragon, Lily or Nantucket bracelets, please order 1/2 size LARGER than normal, as these beads cause the bracelet to fit smaller.
Age 5-8 Years - This age group typically wears 5 1/2" (for a PETITE girl) to 6 1/2"...depending on her build and bone structure. This is the hardest age group to fit perfectly! Again, if you are ordering one of our chunkier "Lampwork" styles, please order 1/2 size larger than normal, as these beads cause the bracelet to fit smaller.
Age 9-13 Years - This age group usually wears size 6 1/2" (for a petite, small boned girl) to an adult 7 1/2" length bracelet. Going by bone structure usually works best.
Age 14-18 Years - This age group typically fits best in sizes between 7" and 7 1/2".
Average Adult Sizing - The majority of our adult clients wear our standard 7 1/2" length bracelet. Truely tiny, petite women can sometimes wear a 7" length, but we typically find those bracelets come back to be sized up to a 7 1/2" for a more comfortable dangle! It is difficult to predict...sometimes a petite woman who wears a size 2 dress can still have an average size wrist. We always say, better a little too big, than too small. :)
Larger Boned Adult Sizing - This type of woman usually fits best in an 8" to 8 1/2" length.
GIRLY-TWIRLY CLOTHING SIZES
Leotards - Our girls leotards are a wonderful, thick, fully lined lycra/spandex. We typically recommend ordering one size larger than you think she will need! (ex. Age 3 should wear our 4/6x size, Age 5 should wear our 6x/7 size.)
Dresses and Rompers - These lovely, thick European cotton outfits run a bit generously sized new, but shrink to fit "true-to-size" after washing. We usually recommend ordering exact size on these for the best fit.
MONOGRAMMED ITEM CARE
Washing a monogrammed Leotard, Outfit or Towel - We recommend cold water washing for all of our monogrammed items to ensure that there will be no color run from the thread. Even though we use top of the line nylon coated monogramming thread we still recommend cold washing for long color last and wear. Spot bleaching is "O.K.", but we do not recommend full water bleaching.
HANDBAG INFORMATION
Ordering Information - The BEAUTY of owning a Girly-Twirly Handbag is that you can completely customize the bag...any way you like!! Can't live without shoulder straps? JUST ASK!! Love a certain fabric but wish it came in a different size? JUST ASK!! We are thrilled to accomodate you in any way we can.
Care Upon Arrival - A recommendation that we make to everyone is to gently Scotch Guard your new Girly-Twirly Handbag immediately upon arrival. Doing this before your first use ensures that the colors will stay bright and brilliant, and the bag will repel dirt and moisture nicely so that it will last for years to come. If washing is necessary we recommend spot treating a stain first, and then dry cleaning if necessary. Please remove all beaded or bamboo hard handles before dry cleaning. You should also periodically inspect handle screws for tightness to ensure that they don't come apart if carrying heavy items in your bag. We do place a small amount of glue over the screws before shipping for a firm hold, but sometimes over years of wear the screws can loosen a bit. (This only applies if you have a bag with beaded or bamboo handles. Fabric or webbing handles do not require this inspection!!)
